Celebrities endorse U.S. candidates ahead of midterm elections

Chris Pratt, Cher, Harry Styles and more stars endorse political candidates ahead of midterm elections across the U.S.

More than 100 celebrities have voiced their support for U.S. candidates ahead of the midterm elections – with some urging the president to tone it down.

The list of endorsements, which was compiled by U.S. News & World Report, features Hollywood’s biggest names, including stars like Chris Pratt, Cher, Harry Styles and Cardi B.

The list is also accompanied by a number of celebrities and politicians, including President Barack Obama, U.S. Senate candidate Beto O’Rourke of Texas, former Vice President Joe Biden, the mayor of New York City’s Brooklyn borough, Bill de Blasio, U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Ben Carson, Democratic presidential candidate and former U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders and musician and LGBTQ advocate Justin Bieber.
