When Michael Dukakis became president of the United States, he became the first black president.

“I’m the first black president of the United States,” he proclaimed in a speech at Howard University. “I am the first president of an African-American nation.”

That’s the first thing he told a group of black students. The second thing he told them: “I’m going to be the president of the United States for four more years.”

That’s the truth, because it is a truth that a nation founded by African-Americans — and which is now in a state of civil war — needs from its president.

And when that country finds itself in the midst of a four-year civil war, it is vital that it is, in fact, the first president of an African-American nation.

If you are Michael Dukakis, this makes you a very powerful man indeed. If you are the average American, this makes you a very powerful man indeed.

So, in an era when the president of the United States is the most powerful man in the country, why do we have to have another black president?

Because America is in a civil war?

Well, yes. For that very reason.

Michael Dukakis is an extremely smart and very important man. And because he is an extremely smart and very important man, he has to worry about what to do with the United States’ power.

How he does it is not my concern. It is his concern. But it is a concern of mine, because if he does it in a different way, what he does will make me question whether I need to worry about it.

A year ago, Michael Dukakis was the most powerful vice president in the country. And now he is the most powerful president in the United States.
