“So why do you think I became a gangster?” he said.
He was right.
In February, just after he and his friend were arrested, he said, “I got out of jail about two months ago because my mom had a fight with some people in her neighborhood.”
He said he planned to return home soon – “hopefully soon” – when authorities finished investigating his case.
“But,” he added, “I want to get better, I want to be a better man … and I want to be a gangster…”
